　　2017 Qilu Friendship Award Ceremony held in Jinan
　　Twenty foreigners were awarded Qilu Friendship Award in Jinan, capital of Shandong province on Dec. 8. Professor Kennichi Kakudo, a pathologist from Japan, was the only doctor among them. The information below was cited from the web (www.en.sdu.edu.cn/info/1018/2430.htm).

　　Professor Kennichi Kakudois is a world-renowned endocrine pathologist, former dean of students at Wakayama Medical University and visiting professor of SDU since 1999. He received his doctorate degree from Osaka University in 1977. He has long devoted to Sino-Japanese friendship and academic exchanges with the School of Medicine, SDU. Since 1994, he has visited SDU a dozen times for academic communication, lectures, and cooperation in several international programs. He actively promoted the student exchange program between SDU and Wakayama Medical University, cultivated 11 Chinese PhD students from SDU and co-published more than 120 SCI papers, making important contributions to the medical education of SDU and of Shandong province.
